Essex County One Day Steeplechase Course ,Ashton Playing Fields

I appreciate this is short notice, but I have
been trying to get this organised all winter and finally the guy that is
going to do it for me has confirmed a date being as above.
John Bicourt represented Belgrave Harriers and
has twice represented Great Britain in the Olympic Games for 3K
steeplechase. He also broke the British record for this event in 1973 and
placed 4th in the Commonwealth Games in 1974.
This is an opportunity for all steeplechasers to
grab their chance - whether beginners or someone who would like to gain
greater knowledge of this event.
John is the ideal person to run this course and
the charge will be £7, but if I have more than 20 takers then I am happy to
reduce this down to £5.All cheques are payable Essex AAs. Please bring
either cheques or cash on the day.
I would encourage athletes Under 17s upwards to
grab this opportunity and gain the experience from a fine athlete as John
was.
